Summer

Hey UK - we are playing the Reading and Leeds westivals this year - August 23 in Reading, and August 24, in Leeds. Here. Ps it's already sold out. Soon we'll be able to announce a bunch of shows in SPAIN and IRELAND though, so stay tuned, as well as more UK and EU dates for August. If you live in Canada or America - see you in May, and then again in October (or maybe June if you live in Calgary).

Democrazy

Hi this showed up on the FU wikipedia page - and before anyone has a panic attack and tried to pre-order any information relating to it, we just wanted to let everyone know that most of this info is FAKE

-
'''Grant (hardcore brownie eater) Johnson''' - Deaf/mute, hard rock and beat music helper. Johnson is the "[[eighth Beatle-bailey lookalike]]" so to speak, and manages to Fucked Up from behind the scenes while helping the lead singer catch his dongle in his zipper. He has designed their logo unsuccessfully, records without words, and influenced most of their jumping and singing. Johnson has coordinated most of their basic cable interviews, except for those conducted live on the road or even those on the moon. He has begun taking a more invisible role, acting as management for the band of late and working with them in the porn studio on the production of their first Live LP. He is the one who taught Billie Bob Thornton to garden and Camp That hot chick in that one movie. He is the only person involved with the band who knows how to tune a piano. Unfortunately he has never attended one of Fucked Up's live shows.

Suffice to say David is extremely distraught at the moment. Send get well messages to vibrationandhum@hotmail.com

SHOCKING

Hey Suny Purchase - sorry we didn't get to play a full set at Culture Shock on saturday. The police made us stop because somehow all the barricades came loose while we were playing. They (NY state police) told us right after our set that we were about to be arrested for inciting a riot and had to vacate the campus immediately - so that's why we were on the highway at about 8.45, when we were still supposed to be playing. You can read a full account of what happened here on our friend Patricks mustard blog.

Pink Eyes did get to meet his hero Cassidy, who also played the fest, so it wasn't a total loss (if you saw our set, Pink Eyes was probably trying to show you his belly button all night as well). Here is a video he took on his cell phone while it was going down:

Stay tuned - we will have some more show announcements for this summer in places that will take us 15 hours to get to to play 3 songs.

Boy cried cat

Hi, a bunch of updates:

We can now confirm the latest record project we are working on care of Chunklet Magazine, another in their series of 4 band split 7"'s - ours will be F'ed Up, Vampire Weekend, Tyvek, Ween and No Age. Each band handles their own pre-orders, so you can pre-order the record from David at vibrationandhum@hotmail.com

Also we had to cancel our upcoming Providence RI show in May - sorry! We will be back in 4 years.

For those of you that attend SUNY Purchase, we will be playing at the Culture Shock Festival, on April 19th. You might think i'm joking, but its true - there is a wikipedia page about the festival. You will find that Cassie is playing, as well as Deerhoof. We also may or may not be playing one of those free McCarren park pool shows this summer in brooklyn - even though we changed out name apparently the powers that be still think we are "too ultimate", so you will have to check back on that. Maybe you could shoot them an email telling them you want us to play and that we are peaceful? Find out all about the pool party we may or may not be playing right HERE.

Hey speaking of Wikipedia, we just found out about Wikiscanner, so now we know who's been editing the F'ed Up Wikipedia page. Maybe one day you will get your name and IP address on that page?

Finally, the following photographs, taken by Sandyo Di Nirandea will be exhibited at the Faux Random gallery Manhattan from April 6-May 1 as part of the "Pure Hate/Pure Love (Too Ultimate)" show, as well as last posts picture, by Ben Raynor (the other Ben Raynor):
